Amy Maguire's Bio
Amy Maguire is the co-founder of The Sandbox Learning Company, an online resource for social, communication, and health materials primarily for young children with disabilities.
Amy has an M.B.A. in Entrepreneurship and Marketing from Wake Forest University and an M.A. in Special Education from The University of Georgia. Her educational background combined with her experience teaching pre-schoolers with disabilities provided the foundation for much of what she does today. When she met her business partner, Desiree McClimon, in business school, they recognized a shared belief that technology can open many doors for individuals with disabilities which inspired them to create Sandbox Learning Company. Amy develops many of the products, oversees the company's online marketing efforts, and is the company's Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant principal investigator.
